Launched in 2001, the .NAME generic top-level domain extension is the sole TLD planned for personal web pages only. These domain names can consist of personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other titles people are popular by. At the beginning, only 3rd-level registrations were allowed, so if you wanted to book john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Already purchased third-level domains remained working.

Through our firm, you can buy your .NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will have the chance to modify the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an existing domain to our company if you receive its EPP transfer code from the current registrar firm and we will renew it when the transfer has been done. There are no special terms on who can register a .NAME domain, but in order to keep the concept behind its establishment alive, the .NAME Registry may check who the Registrant is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration may be challenged.
